The Community Engagement Index
The Community Engagement Index or CEI measures a nonprofit’s internal capacity to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders both within and outside of the organization and across sectors to effect positive change. This capacity for engagement and collaboration, including work on Collective Impact initiatives, is embedded across five dimensions of organizational practice―leadership culture, community collaboration, accountability, resources for engagement, and marketing and communication. Nonprofits with high CEI ratings are those that are best able to leverage resources, expand networks, build community goodwill, and engage volunteers, funders, and key constituents. Read more.
