This series of one-page publications investigates the field of volunteerism, through promoting academic research and providing a bridge from academic research to the hands of practitioners. To promote academic research, the series leads the field of volunteerism research by introducing new data sets, exploring characteristics of volunteers, and suggesting fruitful research agendas.
Graduate students in the Community Engagement and Management of Volunteer Programs at the LBJ School of Public Affairs will be serving in 10 to 20 fortunate Austin, Texas area nonprofit and public sector organizations.
