    does the virtual volunteering project
charge for its resources and assistance?

Most of our resources are free. Your agency is invited to:

    • link to our site, http://www.serviceleader.org/vv/, to help educate your staff, constituents and current volunteers about online volunteering

    • subscribe to our free monthly electronic newsletter, VIRTUAL VERVE and get updates about the latest resources that encourage or assist in the development of virtual volunteering efforts.

    • quote or republish information from the VV Project Web site in your offline publications, such as a newsletter or magazine (with appropriate credit, ofcourse).

    • use our materials to help introduce or expand virtual volunteering at your own organization, including:

      • print out and distribute information from our Web site to your staff, volunteers, or workshop/conference attendees (just please let us know if you do so),

      • reformat and reword our sample materials, such an online orientation or our Handbook for Online Volunteers, to fit your own agency needs (just please let us know if you do so).

      • use our materials in your own workshops on volunteer management and online volunteering (with appropriate credit)

    • contact us about writing an article just for your publication on a subject related to online volunteering or volunteer management resources on the Internet

    • share information with other agencies about how your organization already involves online volunteers (see how this information from other agencies is used here on our web site); or, for individuals, share information about how you are already volunteering virtually.

    • contact us and share information about an online volunteering effort you know about

    • let us know issues you are facing in your involvement of online volunteers, or submit your own ideas for virtual volunteering and how you might like to collaborate with the VV Project

We also provide fee-based services to help your agency's virtual volunteering efforts. Through these services, we can:
    • assist your staff and volunteers directly in implementing or expanding an online volunteering program

    • provide ongoing support for your staff, volunteers and other constiuents in online volunteer management and involvement

    • provide a member of the Virtual Volunteering Project Team to lead a workshop or speak at your conference about:
      • online volunteering/involving volunteers via the Internet
      • how volunteer managers can use the Internet to connect to the tools and resources for both on or offline work
      • how volunteer managers can use the Internet to communicate with volunteers, and have volunteers communicate with each other
      • the realities of using the Internet for service delivery
      • using the Internet to promote collaboration and community
      • online marketing/promotions for community-serving organizations

Our Virtual Volunteering Project Team has representatives in Austin, Texas; San Francisco, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Washington, D.C. Our representatives can travel outside of these areas to speak to your group, contingient on funding.
